Professor Emeritus Yoshiaki Shimizu Ito Jakuchu (1716–1800): A Peacetime Painter of Kyoto April 28, 2013 3–5 pm Stimson Auditorium

Famed for his highly individual painting style, Ito Jakuchu retired at the age of 40 to devote himself to art and Zen Buddhism, and created some of Japan’s greatest art masterpieces.
