The American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC) is the national professional association for conservation in the US. Their website includes links to preservation topics including finding a conservator and caring for your treasures.

SAM Conservation is allied with Connecting to Collections Washington—working to determine a preservation policy for Washington State.

The National Park Service is a great resource for conservation guidelines and information on how to care for collections.

The Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC) is a non-profit organization which provides comprehensive resources relating to conservation of paper-based collections.
