How to Schedule a Tour
All Tours must be scheduled through the website, here.
You can choose by tour type or by location from our three sites.
The calendar will tell you what is available and how many classes you can schedule.
Guided tours are prearranged starting at 10:00am through 11:40am weekday mornings. Self-Guided tours start at 11:00am and are available every 20 minutes until 4:00pm.
Class size is limited to 35 students per group.
If 40% of your students receive reduced lunch you are eligible for subsidized funding. Please mark the box where indicated and your costs will be reduced by 50%
Proceed to complete your request by logging in to your SAM account. New users create account. Once logged in you will link to your school. The school will be linked to the tour selection
Confirmation of your request will be sent to your email account, please review this email for any errors.
If you book a guided tour, a museum or park guide (docent) will contact you approximately one week before your tour to confirm your reservation and answer any questions you may have. Please avoid giving students assignments to complete during guided programs. These experiences are interactive and require dialogue between guides (docents) and students.
For instructions and tips for the day of your visit (including where to park a school bus and where to eat sack lunches), please visit the How to Prepare for Your Visit page.
*Note: Tours must be booked at least three weeks in advance.

Payments made with credit card will be refunded directly to the same card. Refunds of checks or cash payments will be made by check from SAM to the party designated by the school. No refunds will be given if cancellation is made within two weeks or ten business days of the tour date.
