The TRC offers interdisciplinary, classroom-ready materials to help integrate
art into the classroom. About TRC membership:
- It’s free to join the TRC, check
out materials, and use the computers, scanners, color printer and copy
machine.
- Three thousand curriculum guides, teacher packets, slide sets, books, posters,
videos and CD-ROMs, as well as an extensive collection of video and
slide kits from the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., are
available for loan. Search the TRC Online
Catalogue for detailed listings.
- Suitcases containing artifacts that students may handle, examine and discuss are available for free loan. Outreach topics include Arts of Africa, China, Japan, India, Korea, Modern Art, Northwest Coast Native American Art and the Philippines. Request
a suitcase online.
- Seattle Art Museum's Educator Resource Guides contain lesson plans and images, and are available to download or to borrow.
- The TRC has three computers with Internet access for conducting online research, browsing
educational sites, downloading lesson plans and printing images onto
overhead transparencies.
- Volunteer staff members are available to assist educators in finding
resources, searching the Internet, and scanning and printing materials.
- The TRC has a convenient location with free parking and a drop box for returning
materials 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- When you join the TRC you will also recieve a Complimentary Educator's Pass good for a visit to either the Seattle Art Museum or the Seattle Asian Art Museum during the school year.
