Seattle Art Museum: Press Release

SEATTLE, July 10, 2009 – Today the Seattle Art Museum (SAM) announced new museum hours in an effort to reduce costs and respond to visitor patterns. Beginning the week of September 7, SAM downtown will be closed on Tuesdays. SAM will continue to be open to the public Wednesday through Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm and until 9 pm on Thursday and Friday evenings. The museum will also be open on Monday holidays.

The Seattle Asian Art Museum will commence its seasonal schedule the week of September 7 and will be open to the public Wednesday through Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm and until 9 pm on Thursday evenings.

The Olympic Sculpture is free to the public and remains open daily from dawn to dusk. The PACCAR Pavilion also begins its seasonal hours the week of September 7 and will be open Tuesday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Pavilion is closed on Mondays.
