SEATTLE ART MUSEUMíS (SAM) SALES AND RENTAL GALLERY IS MOVING TO SAM DOWNTOWN
SAM Gallery Will Relocate, Fall 2013
For the past 10 years SAM Gallery has provided local Northwest artists with gallery exposure and a place to display and trade their original works at the Seattle Tower. Moving the gallery into the museum gives local artists continued support and visibility at SAMís downtown location.
SAM Gallery, which recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, houses a diverse and constantly changing selection of works by local Northwest artists. Displaying artworks with prices as diverse as their mediums (the Gallery features works of photography, painting, mixed-media production and more), SAM Gallery gives everyone the chance to bring art into their homes and work spaces.
With its regular shows and opening receptions, SAM Gallery provides members of the community with the chance to meet local artists and be the first to preview their new works. Always free and open to the public, SAM Gallery facilitates a unique interaction between Northwest artists and the greater Seattle population, as well as visitors from abroad.
By supporting artists who live and work within our community and providing a space for those artists to interact directly with the community through their artwork, SAM Gallery extends Seattle Art Museumís mission - to bring art into the lives of visitors - on a local level. Moving SAM Gallery to Seattle Art Museumís downtown facility will further this local extension of our mission.
