School Tours & WORKSHOPS

SAM’s school tours are image-focused and inquiry-based experiences for K–12 students. Led by trained guides, they encourage students to look closely, share personal perspectives, and build connections to their own lives and learning. Art workshops give students an opportunity to get creative and work in our art studio alongside professional Teaching Artists.

Do-It-Yourself: Self-Guided Visits

Self-guided visits allow educators to customize their museum experiences by leading their own tours through the galleries. We recommend that teachers divide their classes into small, chaperone-led groups of 5–10 students depending on their age.

Email us for a free educator pass to visit the galleries in advance of your class's visit.
