Silk Route Odyssey: Caravan Across Uzbekistan Official Rules

Land Tour Includes

• Shared accommodations in well located tourist to superior-tourist class hotels and bed and breakfast style small private hotels; one night in an authentic yurt/tented camp.
• Fifteen breakfasts, twelve lunches, and twelve dinners. A few meals are not included so that you may enjoy a chance to experiment on your own.
• Arrival/departure transfers. MIR will arrange for all travelers to be met on arrival and seen off on departure whether we make your flight arrangements or not, provided you arrive and depart on the tour start/end dates in the tour start/end city.
• Transportation throughout itinerary by private vehicle.
• Guided sightseeing tours and entrance fees as outlined in itinerary.
• Special events, excursions and cultural performances per the itinerary.
• Services of MIR Tour Manager with local guides at specific sites.
• Gratuities to local guides and drivers.
• Bottled water at group meals.
• Baggage handling, where available.
• Complete pre-departure information including detailed packing list, reading list, insurance information.
• Touring with MIR handbook with country-specific information, maps, and travel tips.
• Assistance booking your custom flight arrangements (on request; please note that international airfare is not included in the land tour cost).
• Customized visa application and instruction kit (please note, visa fees are not included in the tour price).
• Final document packet including a travel journal, luggage tags, final updates, and more.
• All internal flights, Fergana–Tashkent, and Urgench–Tashkent. (Please note that transportation either way between Fergana and Tashkent may be by overland transport depending on air schedules).

Requirements

All travelers must have a valid passport with at least six months validity beyond the trip date and at least one completely blank visa page available. An Uzbek visa is required for this tour. You may also need a visa for any country you fly through to join the tour (such as Russia or Turkey). Due to the extensive pre-tour paperwork required to visit Uzbekistan, MIR will coordinate the winners visa processing unless otherwise noted. MIR will provide all applications and instructions. Total current visa cost for Uzbekistan for U.S. passport holders, based on standard processing time, is $204. Visa costs are always subject to change.

Your participation on a MIR Corporation trip is subject to the conditions in the 2012 or 2013 Tour Reservation Form and Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement which will be provided to the winner by MIR Corporation.

• One entry per household (regardless of whether one person has more than one address or more than one person uses the same address).
• Entries will be accepted from May 1, 2012 through July 31, 2012.
• There are two methods of entry:
  • Persons who complete an entry form at the Seattle Asian Art Museum, 1400 East Prospect Street, Seattle, WA 98112 will be eligible for the prize if they meet all the eligibility requirements herein.
  • Persons who submit their full name, street address, and telephone number and/or email address to the Seattle Art Museum during the open period for entries above are eligible for the prize if they meet all the eligibility requirements herein. Entries must be received by end of business July 31, 2012.

Travel Dates

Silk Route Odyssey: Caravan Across Uzbekistan tour dates include September 14–28, 2012, May 24–June 7, 2013 (subject to change) and September 13–27, 2013 (subject to change). Winner must select one of these three travel dates. If winner fails to take advantage of one of these tour dates, the trip will be forfeited and no extensions will be granted.
