Foong Ping / Foster Foundation Curator of Chinese Art
Xiaojin Wu / Curator of Japanese and Korean Art
The Asian Art Museum in Volunteer Park is the home of SAM’s founding collection of Asian art. As we begin renovations to bring this iconic building up to date, the curators are planning a fresh installation for a grand reopening in 2019. This is your chance to hear about our ideas and aspirations of an Asian Art Museum in the 21st century.
Lectures are held the third Wednesday of the month at the Seattle Art Museum. Doors open at 6:30 pm for Happy Hour in the South Hall where you can enjoy complimentary wine. Curator talks begin at 7 pm in Plestcheeff Auditorium.
