Exhibition Information
The ten artists showcased in this exhibit utilize the human figure and portraiture as vehicles to explore complex issues of identity, personal passion and social change, or to articulate concepts about the self and others. The artists featured are Lynn Brofsky, Juan Carlos Castellanos, Tatiana Garmendia, Ronald L. Hall, Elizabeth Jameson, Claire Johnson, Steven Miller, Anne Siems, Barbara Earl Thomas and Kensuke Yamada. In the gallery's University Street window, Mielle Riggie will create a site-specific installation that offers the viewer a scene of motion and landscape. The installation was inspired by the sight of flocks of birds and ideas about internal and external support systems. View a slideshow
