Dualities: A Collaboration

SAM Videos: Curators and artists talk about the work on view at Cornish College of the Arts and at SAM Gallery.
Dualities is a two-venue exhibition of artworks that utilize opposing or distinctly different elements or ideas. Co-curated by Jess Van Nostrand, exhibitions curator for Cornish College of the Arts, and SAM Gallery Director Barbara Shaiman, the show features Northwest artists whose work possesses two distinct and contrasting elements. Through tension and harmony, the works featured will demonstrate how the artists use other disciplines and contrasting ideas to make an artistic statement.
The artists in this show are Deborah Bell, Lisa Buchanan, Dawn Cerny, Laurie Danial, Marita Dingus, Tory Franklin, Helen Gamble, Cable Griffith, Melinda Hannigan, Etsuko Ichikawa, Jason Loik, Perri Lynch, Allan Packer, Tom Reese, Barbara Robertson, Adam Satushek, Ross Sawyers and Kelly Sheridan.
