Gardner Center Programs
The Gardner Center for Asian Art and Ideas offers a quarterly Saturday University lecture series as well as films and performances focusing on Asia.

Teen Tix
SAM is part of Teen Tix, a free arts access pass that allows teenagers to purchase $5 rush tickets to theater, dance, music and visual arts events. Teens must present this pass in person to get a $5 ticket at the SAM Ticketing Desk. Sign up online to get your pass.

Free Days
First Thursday
Admission to the Seattle Asian Art Museum is free on the first Thursday of each month for everyone.
Second Thursday
The Seattle Asian Art Museum is taking part in the new Capitol Hill art walk, Blitz, on the second Thursday of every month. Admission is free of charge from 5 to 9 pm.
First Fridays for Seniors
Admission to the Seattle Asian Art Museum is free on the first Friday of each month for seniors 62 and over.
First Saturdays for Families
Admission to the Seattle Asian Art Museum is free on the first Saturday of each month for families. Presented by Wells Fargo

- From South: Take I-5 North to Olive Way (exit #166). Follow up hill (east). Turn left on 15th Avenue East. Turn left on East Prospect Street. The park entrance is at 14th Avenue East and East Prospect Street.
- From North: Take I-5 South to Boylston Avenue (exit #168A). Turn left over freeway on Roanoke. Turn right on 10th Avenue East. Turn left on East Prospect Street. Entrance to park is at 14th Avenue East and East Prospect Street.

The SAM Shop is located by the main doors to the museum. This small but charming store has a wide variety of Asian merchandise and numerous books about all aspects of Asian art and culture.

McCaw Foundation Asian Art Library
Thursday & Friday: 2–5 pm
Saturday: 10 am–5 pm
Saturday Hours, June–August: 10 am–2 pm
Although primarily geared to support the museum staff, docents and educators, the library is open to members and the general public. The library offers a number of resources to aid you in your research or educational endeavors.

Ann P. Wyckoff Teacher Resource Center

The Ann P. Wyckoff Teacher Resource Center (TRC) is a free lending library for educators. Located in the Seattle Asian Art Museum, the TRC offers over 4,000 resources on the Seattle Art Museum collection and covers all art disciplines. The TRC materials includes curriculum guides, CDs, books, videos and more.

Private Tours
SAM offers docent-led tours for private groups of 10 or more upon request. Private tour groups pay a flat-rate tour fee in addition to discounted admission. Tours are 60 minutes in length and must be scheduled three weeks in advance. To schedule a private tour for your group, please fill out our private tour request form. Questions? Slide Review by Curators
SAM curators regularly review artist submissions in the form of slides and DVDs. Materials may be sent to the Curatorial Department, Seattle Art Museum, 1300 1st Avenue,
Seattle, WA 98101-2003. Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like your material returned. Due to the volume of submissions received, please allow at least six weeks for a response.
