Volunteers are at the center of SAM, engaging our visitors in exciting and enriching experiences with art.

The Seattle Art Museum involves hundreds of volunteers in dynamic and engaging opportunities at all three museum sites: providing customer service, supporting administrative tasks, working with specific audiences, facilitating art experiences and more.

Prospective volunteers should be passionate about art, enjoy interacting with the public, and be able to make a six-month commitment to a weekly or every-other-week schedule. Required orientation provided by SAM.
