Virtual Family Fun Workshop: Tiny Tots

Jan 14 2021

Seattle Art Museum

Online

3:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Let’s Explore the Asian Art Museum

Introduce your family to a variety of cultures and artistic traditions in this Virtual Family Fun Workshop series. Engage you and your child in learning and creating together through a series of three workshops.

The January series is three workshops focused on the Asian Art Museum. In each session we will look closely at an artwork, do some interactive activities and make some art! The first workshop is Ceramic Creations. Learn about ceramics from the past and everyday objects in your home. Then create a pot of your own.

All the supplies you’ll need for the entire series will be mailed out the week before the workshop. Additionally, an activity sheet that recaps the workshop will be sent out after each workshop and will include additional ideas for learning.

Workshops take place on three consecutive Thursdays and focus on works of art from the Asian Art Museum. Learn about pattern, shapes and color through making and exploring the world of ceramics and textiles. These workshops are designed to provide an experience tailored to the needs of Tiny Tots (ages 3–5 yrs).

Seattle Art Museum acknowledges that we are on the traditional homelands of the Duwamish and the customary territories of the Suquamish and Muckleshoot Peoples. As a cultural and educational institution, we honor our ongoing connection to these communities past, present, and future. We also acknowledge the urban Native peoples from many Nations who call Seattle their home.
