Premier members are invited to celebrate with us the opening of Imogen Cunningham: A Retrospective.

The first major retrospective in the United States in more than 35 years, this exhibition brings together nearly 200 of her insightful portraits, elegant flower and plant studies, poignant street pictures, and groundbreaking nudes in a visual celebration of Cunningham’s immense contribution to the history of 20th-century photography.

To allow for more social distancing, capacity has been lowered for this event and museum entry times are staggered. Please reserve your 2 member tickets for either 6 or 7pm. Tickets are available on a first come first serve basis and are not guaranteed. In the event that we sell out please contact us at premier@seattleartmuseum.org to be put on the waitlist.

Light hors d’oeuvres will be provided throughout the evening.

There will be no onsite exhibition overview for this event. A special recorded curatorial exhibition overview will be made available in the near future.

All SAM galleries will be open. SAM Shop will be closed.

PLEASE NOTE: In accordance with the latest Public Health—Seattle & King County order, starting October 25, 2021, all visitors age 12 and older must show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR test to enter the museum. Additionally, masks are required for all individuals over the age of two regardless of vaccination. Find more details here.
