Virtual Educator Workshop: Through an Environmental Lens

Focusing on artworks featured in Our Blue Planet: Global Visions of Water at SAM connected to environmental justice, this virtual workshop provides educators with opportunities to integrate artist and activist voices in social studies, science, and visual art classrooms. Teachers will discuss how to apply key artworks, then try out activities for students related to narrative, documentation, and empowerment. Recommended for grades 4-12 educators, all are welcome.

This workshop is free for K–12 educators attend. It includes resources and Washington State Clock hours. Classroom educators, paraeducators, subject area coaches, and administrators are welcome to attend. RSVPs to this event are greatly appreciated.
