SAM Gallery Opening Reception: Printing the PNW

Dec 9 2023

Seattle Art Museum

SAM Gallery

2 PM – 4 PM

After visiting Hokusai: Inspiration and Influence, meet artists influenced by Japanese printmaking techniques and stories at the SAM Gallery opening reception for Printing the PNW.

Kerstin Graudins practices all types of printmaking, including etching, lithography, block printing, and screen printing. Nikki Jabbora-Barber creates woodblock prints, where each carefully carved layer expands a single moment or experience. Artist Jueun Shin explores sea creatures from her memories in her layered print works. Finally, Minami Wrigley implements intaglio and etching techniques in her landscape prints of the Pacific Northwest and Japan.

Join us as we celebrate these artists and their artworks on Saturday, December 9 from 2-4 pm.
