Apr 1 2023

Seattle Asian Art Museum

Fuller Garden Court

11 AM – 2 PM

Come and celebrate the Beauty of Us poster campaign where seven local Asian American, Pacific Islander, and Native Hawaiian women created original artwork to empower and uplift Seattle’s AA+NHPI communities. Families have a special opportunity to participate in collaborative mural projects designed and facilitated by Beauty of Us artists Juliana Kang Robinson, Julie Kim, and Raychelle Duazo, all to be displayed collectively in the Asian Art Museum's Community Gallery through May 2023.

11 am–2 pm: Participate in Community Mural Project: Kaleidoscope Stories with artist and author, Julie Kim featured in the Beauty of Us.

11:15 am: Enjoy a storytime and origami art activity with author and illustrator, Sanae Ishida, followed by a raffle and book signing. Arrive early for a chance to win books signed by the author herself! Additional books will be available for purchase at SAM Shop. This activity is ideal for families with children ages 2-5.

All programming is free with suggested admission. Capacity is limited on a first come, first served basis for all activities. Early arrivals are encouraged to secure your spot.
