DESCRIPTION:The Louisa Boren K8 STEM\, Distinct Middle School Art Show is an annual Pro
 ject-Based Learning (PBL) experience. Through this project\, students showc
 ase their talents while learning\, connecting\, and expressing emotions thr
 ough the arts. These student artists have multiple disabilities and face de
 velopmental and cognitive challenges. This opportunity supports the growth 
 of their self-confidence and self-esteem.\nThroughout the school year\, stu
 dents work on their art projects\, which culminate in an Art Show held duri
 ng PBL Night at the school. This project is made possible through the colla
 borative efforts of the STEM special education teacher\, instructional assi
 stants\, art teacher at STEM\, art teacher at West Seattle High School\, an
 d the Museum of Special Arts.
