DESCRIPTION:Join us for a series of talks designed and dedicated to promoting understan
 ding of Asia and the Asian diaspora. Hear from Asian and Asian American art
 ists\, writers\, business and community leaders\, and others engaged with A
 sia\, on their work\, ideas\, experiences\, and impact. Central themes will
  include arts and culture\, policy and business\, technology\, sustainabili
 ty\, and education. This speaker series is a collaboration between Asia Soc
 iety Seattle and Seattle Art Museum.\nThis special fireside chat with Bao T
 ran\, a Seattle-based filmmaker\, is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn m
 ore about film\, community\, and identity. We'll hear about his most recent
  film\, The Paper Tigers\, an acclaimed martial arts action comedy now stre
 aming on Netflix. Bao will take us through his journey as a filmmaker and d
 iscuss the ways Seattle has influenced his craft and career. The evening wi
 ll also reflect on representation in film and media. His previous credits i
 nclude editing Cho Lon\, one of Southeast Asia's highest-budgeted action bl
 ockbusters\, and Jackpot\, Vietnam's official entry to the 2016 Oscars for
