  third Saturday\, 11 am–2 pm. This lively space is filled with hands-on art
  making\, concerts\, and moments of community—all inspired by SAM’s permane
 nt collections and exhibitions.\nWhether you’re an art enthusiast\, a curio
 us newcomer\, or just looking for a place to recharge this weekend\, you’re
  always welcome. Learn about art through interactive activities\, meet new 
 friends\, or simply enjoy the atmosphere before exploring the galleries.\nP
 rograms in SAM’s entry gathering spaces are always free and open to everyon
 e. Bring your curiosity and imagination\, we’ll provide the rest.\nSAM Perf
 orms: Todo Es\n11 am–2 pm\nBrotman Forum\nTodo Es takes cues from the Latin
  Jazz of Cal Tjader and Charlie Byrd\, with touches of Brazilian Samba and 
 bossa nova\, all shaped by their own unique sound. Their band blends Afro-C
 uban\, Caribbean\, and Brazilian sounds with space for improvisation.\nTape
 te (Sand painting) by Fulgencio Lazo\nAll day\nBrotman Forum\nAdmire this y
 ear's tapete created by the internationally recognized artist Fulgencio Laz
 o and his team. This intricate work of art reflects the spirit and essence 
 of Día de los Muertos\, showcasing the beauty of life and the joyful accept
 ance of death as a natural part of it. This year’s Tapete will feature addi
 tional unique sculptures that honor organizations active in the Seattle com
 munity. \nDesign Your Neighborhood Exhibition\nAll day\nSouth Hall\nCheck o
 ut the Design Your Neighborhood Exhibition! Five groups of teen designers r
 ethink our built environment and explore the increasingly vital role of art
  and imagination in the communities we call home.
