Winter Educator Open House: Hokusai

Jan 12 2024

Seattle Art Museum

Arnold Board Room (entire)

6 PM – 9 PM

Celebrate the start of a new year and the second semester with SAM!

Take one last look at all of the eye-catching woodblock prints and array of artworks inspired by them in Hokusai: Inspiration and Influence, from the Collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston at SAM with your colleagues and educator peers. Enjoy appetizers and wine in the Educator Lounge while browsing related resources and school tour sign-ups for winter and spring. Then, head up to the galleries and check out SAM's Open House public engagement programming in the evening.

Free for K–12 educators, paraeducators, subject area coaches, administrators, teaching artists, and arts education advocates. Registration includes one educator and one guest.

Support for K-12 programs during the 2023-2024 school year is provided by the BNSF Railway Foundation, Foster Foundation, and Freeman Foundation. Partial, sustained support for SAM’s K-12 programs is provided by an endowment established in 1999 by a National Endowment for the Humanities challenge grant and the generous contributions of matching donors, including the Ann P. Wyckoff Education Endowment. The William Randolph Hearst Endowed Fund for Education Programs at the Seattle Art Museum has supported SAM K–12 programs since 1994.
