Call your friends and bring the family, admission is FREE to everyone at the Seattle Art Museum on the first Thursday of every month. In addition to our regular hours, Seattle Art Museum will be open for Free First Thursday evenings from 5–8 pm to provide more opportunities to visit the galleries for free! Evening hours will feature extra activities like live music, drop-in art making, and in-gallery experiences for visitors.

This band of local Jazz icons has been holding the bar high for decades, while also keeping Jazz visible and vibrant in Seattle. Each shares a direct musical lineage to the musicians of the Jackson Street scene and continues their legacy today by passing it on. Scheduled to appear: Marc Seales, Phil Sparks, Thomas Marriott, Jay Thomas, & John Bishop. Presented by Seattle Jazz Fellowship to complement Beyond Mysticism: The Modern Northwest.

Join historian Zola Mumford for a short talk and Q&A about the history of Washington Hall. Learn how you can collect and preserve histories in your community. Zola Mumford is an academic librarian, researcher, writer, and Co-Leader of the Seattle Black Spatial Histories Institute, a project of Wa Na Wari. Her work includes a Washington Hall HistoryLink.org essay and audio recording in "Frequencies", a 2026 project of the Henry Art Gallery (Bloomberg Connects).
