May is Member Month at SAM!

Step into a month of exclusive experiences at all three of our locations: the Seattle Art Museum, the Seattle Asian Art Museum, and the Olympic Sculpture Park. Participate in docent-led tours, exciting scavenger hunts, giveaways, and art activities for the whole family. Immerse yourself in the art and culture you love, enjoy special perks, and discover new ways to connect with SAM all month long. It’s all about unlocking more and experiencing more as a SAM member.

All Month

• Embark on a scavenger hunt and see the galleries in a new light! Turn in your completed scavenger hunt to the Ticketing Desk to receive a prize.
• Pick up a take-home art activity created by SAM teaching artists Valencia Carroll and Malia Peoples.
• Bring home a free Ai, Rebel: The Art and Activism of Ai Weiwei exhibition poster at the Ticketing Desk downtown and a Water Lilies poster at the Seattle Asian Art Museum.
• Show your member card or ticket to get the member-exclusive $10 birria tacos at MARKET Seattle.

• Tour the collection at the Seattle Art Museum.

Mon, May 5, 2–8 pm

• Join us on Member Monday for a day the museum will only be open to members! Enjoy smaller crowds, exclusive access to Ai, Rebel: The Art and Activism of Ai Weiwei, a music performance by the Chinese Arts & Music Association – US China Ensemble, an art activity, happy hour, and screenings of In Conversation with Ai Weiwei.

• Tour the Olympic Sculpture Park with a stop at the Neukom Vivarium.

• Calling all Mandarin speakers! Tour Ai, Rebel: The Art and Activism of Ai Weiwei with Lynn Li, the Frances Blakemore & Griffith Way Intern at SAM who is a master's student in the China Studies program at the University of Washington. Li's tour will trace the evolution of Ai's artistic practice as a lens for examining some of the most turbulent moments in modern Chinese History. Can’t make this tour? We’ll be offering a second one in Mandarin on Wednesday, June 4 at 1 pm!
