SAM Creates: Zine Making with Katrina Van Strien
Step into the vibrant world of zine creation at our drop-in workshop, where you'll discover how this accessible art form can capture culture and personal narratives. Make your own zine and/or contribute to a collaborative one. Pop by for a quick burst of creativity, or settle in and make a zine inspired by the magical world of Alfredo ArreguĂn in his colorful and highly-patterned piece, Four Self-Portraits.
This workshop empowers participants of all ages and skill levels to create and personalize zines at their own pace. This hands-on activity offers a tangible connection to the museum's American Art: Stories We Carry collection by mirroring how zines have historically captured personal expression and cultural moments.
