Play, picnic, create, and frolic this summer at the Olympic Sculpture Park! SAM presents an entire magical summer season packed full of programs that combine visual art, movement, music, community, and a sprinkle of pixie dust! This year, we’re embodying the fairy magic of nature, reminding us of the deep, playful connection between imagination and the environment.
All Summer at SAM programs are free, public, and suitable for all ages. There is no outside alcohol permitted in the Olympic Sculpture Park.
Thursday evenings bring the party with performances by Seattle-based musicians, hands-on art activities to inspire your creativity, and rotating local food trucks. We kick off this season of Summer at SAM with live music and performances presented in partnership with Sonic Guild and art-making curated by The Cutie Foundation.
5:30–7 pm | DJ Kween Kaysh.
Kick off the evening with Kween Kaysh as she opens the program with a set full of sparkly beats, playful remixes, and dancefloor magic.
5:30–9 pm | Art Activities
Craft a whimsical fairy trinket with a rotating cast of local artists curated by The Cutie Foundation—then flutter back to the park on August 10 for the grand finale of Summer at SAM: Fairy Fest, where you can trade your treasures with fellow fairies!
Sonic Guild Concerts
7 pm | Black Ends
This self-described gunk-pop is about as sweet as that wad of asphalt-crusted bubble gum you found stuck on the bottom of your favorite boots. Much like the legendary grunge bands that influenced the Seattle trio, Black Ends is artfully adept at smothering catchy pop and rock structures with toxic levels of grime.
8 pm | Zookraught
Hailing from the gritty underbelly of Seattle, WA, Zookraught is a band that refuses to conform to musical norms. Their sound is a chaotic blend of dance-punk, angular rhythms, and experimental noise, creating a sonic landscape that is both exhilarating and totally original.

Grab a bite during the concert from local food trucks Kathmandu Momocha and Big Boys Filipino Food Truck. Additional snacks and beverages will be available for purchase from Shooby Doo Catering in the PACCAR Pavilion.
