Jul 30 2011–Aug 26 2012

Seattle Art Museum

This installation showcases some of the great works from the Seattle Art Museum’s permanent collection of paintings by Mark Tobey, Morris Graves and Emilio Amero, and includes examples from the recent bequest of Marshall Hatch. It features early work by these artists, from the 1930s and 1940s, offering a glimpse of the creative forces that made the Seattle art scene so distinctive in these years.
