Alfred Harris

Utilizing a variety of found papers painted with spontaneous brushstrokes, I piece together elaborately structured, map like compositions. Combining disparate elements of texture, color and pattern, I seek a sense harmony through layering these sheets, then coating them with resin which saturates and offers a murky view of fibers and hues at various depths.
