Join us for a conversation exploring how personal connections to art, artists, and collecting lead to new models of support for art and culture. From the perspectives of three Seattle-area arts supporters and organizers, Elisheba Johnson, Stephanie Ellis-Smith, and Ryan Tarpley will discuss how philanthropic support of art and culture creates vibrant communities and the importance of supporting Black artists and Black-led organizations. The program will celebrate philanthropic leaders and emerging voices in the field and will be facilitated by SAM’s Director of Equity, Diversity, & inclusion, Priya Frank, and Public Engagement Associate, David Rue.
