Virtual Family Festival: Spring Celebration

May 1 2021

Asian Art Museum

1 PM – 2 PM

Family festivals at the Seattle Asian Art Museum connect families with performances, art activities, and other programming related to SAM’s Asian art collection. While we get excited for the reopening of the Asian Art Museum to the public on May 28, families can make art and learn more about Asian art, as well as our wonderful community partners, from their homes.

Celebrate springtime with art and activities! Through art making, story time, and a dance performance, experience how nature and art come together across many regions in Asia. Make your own artwork inspired by the blooming world around you.

Materials needed for the art activity include

  • pencil
  • cardstock
  • paper
  • dried plant matter, such as leaves
  • A limited number of art kits are available to be mailed to families to complete the activity. Please email with the subject line "Virtual Family Festival" to request a kit.

Free with registration. Your registration confirmation email includes the event Zoom link. Use this link to receive event reminders.

Seattle Art Museum acknowledges that we are on the traditional homelands of the Duwamish and the customary territories of the Suquamish and Muckleshoot Peoples. As a cultural and educational institution, we honor our ongoing connection to these communities past, present, and future. We also acknowledge the urban Native peoples from many Nations who call Seattle their home.
