Create art that connects you and your family with the art on view at SAM. Each Family Saturday features activities that include storytelling, art making, gallery tours, performances, or movement workshops.

Join us on first Saturdays at the Seattle Art Museum for storytime, a family-focused gallery tour, and art making, as part of Saturdays at SAM!

Family Saturdays at the Olympic Sculpture Park are a chance to make art and learn about the local environment.

Keep an eye out for special Family Saturdays inspired by specific exhibitions throughout the year.

What to know

Mar–May: Free Family Saturdays at Olympic Sculpture Park.
Oct–May: Free Family Saturdays at Seattle Art Museum.

Nov 8: Family Saturday takes place at the Seattle Asian Art Museum with activities inspired by special exhibition Anila Quayyum Agha: Geometry of Light. This event is included with admission.

Family Saturdays are designed for families and caregivers with children ages 2+.

These are drop-in events but advanced registration for some programs are recommended to receive important information before the event.

Capacity is limited walk-ins are welcome on a first-come-first-served basis.
